The images taken by Marco Migliardi and Alessandra Masi, members of the Cortina Astronomical Association, won the first prizes in the categories "polar auroras" and "total lunar eclipses" of the astrophotography contest organized by the Office of Astronomy for Education of the IAU (International Astronomical Union).
These images, along with all the winning images in the other categories, serve as an open educational resource to benefit teachers and learners worldwide.
The contest received nearly 700 images from 57 countries were submitted. Here all the winners.
